Red Clay Beauty chooses non-nano Zinc oxide as the active ingredient in our sunscreen. Using traditional mill processing, the Zinc is ground down into powder, controlling the size of the zinc particles so they cannot penetrate the pores. Zinc sits on TOP of the skin, acting as a protective barrier against UVA/UVB rays.

Pro Tip: 

Apply 20 minutes prior to sun exposure for best results. Start with a pea to dime size amount. Dab exposed areas with the sunscreen and gently wipe onto the skin in a paintbrush motion along the grains of your hair. The lotion will blend evenly with little white residue. Red Clay Beauty SPF will sit on top of the skin rather than absorb into the pores. Re-apply every 60-90 minutes or after towel drying.
